Pickler's childhood was a rocky one. For the sake of leaving an abusive partner, Pickler's mother left when she was just 2 years young. In 1995, she was returned into the world of Pickler and was granted custody. But it wasn't an enjoyable experience. At the age of 12, Pickler aged 12years old, the court transferred her to her maternal grandparents whom she grew up until adulthood. Pickler had to be busy with her children in the absence of their parents. Pickler admitted that she didn't have time to study and started learning how to make a living as a homemaker in her early years. Pickler was an athlete in the middle and high school. North Stanly High School, where she graduated in 2004 is her school of choice. Pickler is also a skilled beauty queen. The name she was given was Miss Stanly.
